What we collect

When you run a scan, you enter your first name, last name, city, and zip code. This information is sent to public databases to search for claims on your behalf. It is not saved to our servers — it is used for the search and then discarded.

We store your email address so we can send you alerts when new claims are found in your area. We also store a random scan ID, a timestamp, and whether you paid. That is the full extent of what we store.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your SSN, bank credentials, financial account information, or any other sensitive personal data. We don't use cookies for tracking. We don't install anything on your device.

How results are stored

Your scan results (claim names, amounts, filing links) are stored in your browser's sessionStorage. This data never touches our servers. It is automatically cleared when you close the tab or after 48 hours.

Payments

Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

Email communications

If you provide your email, we may send you alerts about new class action settlements, unclaimed property, or government benefits in your area. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We never sell, share, or provide your email to third parties.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

Stripe — payment processing. Their privacy policy.

Vercel — hosting. Their privacy policy.

Anthropic (Claude) — AI-powered data matching. Their privacy policy.

Data retention

Your name, city, and zip are not retained — they are discarded after each scan. Your email and scan metadata are retained until you request deletion. Browser-stored results expire after 48 hours.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your email and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@justclaim.io. We will process your request within 30 days.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
